COVID-19 Testing Info for Medical Professionals

The Florida Department of Health in Sarasota County, in partnership with Sarasota Memorial Hospital and Sarasota County Government will begin offering COVID-19 drive-through testing for symptomatic people who meet current CDC testing criteria.

The testing will be by appointment only at Twin Lakes Park, 6700 Clark Road, Sarasota, 34241.  Appointments will begin on Friday, March 28th at 8 a.m. to noon and continue each day while supplies last. 

If you have a patient that meets current CDC testing criteria and needs to be tested, fill out the Testing Request Form and fax it to our secure line at 941-554-5502. Ensure the form includes the patient’s current valid phone number so Health Department staff can contact the patient to set up an appointment. 

  •  Testing will be limited to 50 people per day.
  • All patients must have an appointment to be tested.
  • People must meet current CDC testing criteria.
  • Medical providers must provide a prescription for the test.

Everyone who arrives at the drive-through must:  

  • Be in a vehicle; walk-ups will not be permitted.
  • Patients and passengers must remain in their vehicle at all times.
  • Present a photo ID. Name on the ID must match the Testing Request Form and prescription.
