Join the MyPlate Art Contest and Celebrate National Nutrition Month
March 03, 2025

The Healthy Sarasota County Collaborative and the Florida Department of Health in Sarasota County are excited to announce the return of the MyPlate Art Contest for its second year.
March is National Nutrition Month, and what better way to celebrate than by encouraging school-aged children in kindergarten through 12th grade to showcase what a healthy plate means to them through art? This contest provides a fun and imaginative platform for students to express their creativity while promoting the importance of a balanced diet.
Last year, winners were selected from Imagine School at North Port, Emma E. Booker Elementary School, Booker Middle School and Venice High School. This year, organizers hope to see even more students from local schools participate and celebrate new winners.
