DOH-Sarasota's division of Environmental Health works to ensure public drinking water supplies are safe. We also oversee private wells and water systems in Sarasota County.
Public drinking water systems
Trained specialists oversee the construction and operation of all public water systems that provide piped water to 15 or more service connections, or serve 25 or more people for 60 days or more per year to assure safe drinking water.
Private Wells & Water Systems
Environmental Health Services oversees the permitting, construction, operation, and modification of wells in Sarasota County and assists in complaints.
