Healthy Start is a program that screens pregnant women and newborn babies to identify risk factors for low birth weight and infant mortality. Healthy Start is free and available to everyone regardless of income. A team of professional care coordinators assist families in determining their needs and provide:

  • Counseling
  • Parenting support
  • Childbirth and breastfeeding education
  • Smoking cessation services

Classes are in English and Spanish. No appointment is needed.
