Dogs are permitted to accompany their owners while dining in the outdoor area of food establishments meeting certain requirements. DOH-Sarasota inspects and issues permits for the “Doggie Dining” sites. Very specific rules apply to the outdoor areas of these establishments to protect health and safety.
